Van Biezen Wood

Van Biezen Eikenhout is part of the Van Biezen Hout Import Group based in Hierden. The group imports and processes oak wood, chestnut wood, robinia wood, Douglas fir, larch and spruce at its own location. The products are traded, with or without processing, mainly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.

Van Biezen Eikenhout is the specialist in oak beams and planks. Besides oak beams and planks, we also supply oak logs in the bark, peeled oak posts, oak sleepers and oak anti-parking posts. All the oak beams we sell come from sustainably managed forest plots in France, Germany and the Netherlands. If required, we can also offer sustainably certified oak with FSC or PEFC certification.

Oak at low prices

Because you buy from us virtually at the source, we can offer the oak at a very advantageous rate. In addition, we purchase large quantities of oak beams at the same time so that we can buy at attractive prices. Our purchasing advantage is reflected in the prices we charge for oak. Especially for larger quantities, our prices are among the lowest in the market.

Fast delivery time of oak beams

We keep large quantities in stock so that we can deliver almost any size from stock. You can also come to us for non-standard dimensions. We have the dimensions cut to size in one of our sawmills in France. Also because we import several shipments of oak every week, we are able to deliver quickly should we not have something in stock.

Good-quality oak wood

We only buy oak beams from sawmills we have been doing business with for years. They know exactly what quality we expect from them. A strict pre-selection of various sawmills ensures that the good quality is guaranteed.

The properties of European oak are that it is a strong, durable wood species that is generally easy to work with. Partly because of its natural appearance, it is very suitable for various applications around the house. In addition, oak is increasingly being used for applications in the civil engineering sector. The botanical name for European oak is Quercus Robur (the pedunculate oak) and Quercus Petraea (the sessile oak). The oak grows in the northern hemisphere between the 45th and 50th latitudes.
