Round European oak posts are mostly used in fencing for natural areas. The round oak logs are first debarked and then pointed or not as required. We can deliver the peeled round posts from stock. The diameter, also called diameter of the round oak pole, is measured on the thick side of the oak pole. A tolerance in diameter of + or - 2.5cm is allowed for oak round timber.
On special request, we also grade oak posts with an irregular shape. These whimsical round posts are often used as bridge railings.
Oak round timber with bark
We also supply oak logs in the bark. These oak logs of usually 3.5m and or 4m often act as breakwaters along the coast. These oak spars are also known as oak vibratory piles.
